A group feast was held in Sultan Ahmet’s square in Istanbul at the first day of Ramadan
Yesterday at the first day of Ramadan the city of #istanbul has hosted a group feast at Sultan Ahmet’s square.
The feast was provided and prepared by the state of Istanbul, #istanbul_chamber_of_commerce and Fatih municipality.
Before the “IFTAR” time the attendants had the chance to enjoy the music that was played by the Ottoman military chorus then they’ve read some of the holy Quran’s surahs.
At the time of sunset prayer or “AZAN AL MAGREB” some of the #turkish_military have fired the Iftar cannon at Sultan Ahmet’s square.
Families of the martyrs and veteran warriors have attended this feast, in addition to the #mayor_of_istanbul “ALI YERLIKAYA”, the president of Istanbul chamber of commerce “ŞEKİB AVDAGİÇ” and the mayor of Fatih municipality “ERGUN TURAN” that’s in addition to thousands of participants.
What also worth mentioning the fact that the group feasts are held in all around the city of #Istanbul, but the group feast at the Sultan Ahmet’s square is the most attended especially by Arab and foreign investors who come to Turkey to #buy_apartments_in_istanbul, as a lot of real estate companies provide good offers during the holy month.
