450 Turkish companies operating in Qatar with a budget of $ 15 billion

According to Qatar Chamber, the number of Turkish companies operating in the Qatari local market is more than 450, in partnership with Qatari companies in various economic sectors.

The chamber said in a statement, that the volume of projects implemented by Turkish companies in Qatar in recent years, were more than 130 projects worth more than $ 15 billion.

This came during the Qatari-Turkish Law and Investment Forum 2019, which was held in Istanbul and lasted for two days.

The statement also pointed out that the number of Qatari companies that are operating in Turkey, are more than 130 companies.

In general Turkey is considered a safe haven for Qatari investment, which has reached $ 22 billion at the end of 2018.

For his part, Jawhar Mohammed, a member of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Chamber, has said that the recent years witnessed a rapid development of relations and cooperation between Qatar and Turkey.

This was largely reflected in the growth of trade exchange between the two countries, growing by 85%, from 4.7 billion riyals ($ 1.27 billion) in 2017 to about 8.7 billion riyals ($ 2.36 billion) last year.
