Turkey and Qatar discuss cooperation opportunities in the construction sector

The delegation of the Qatar Works Authority discussed on Wednesday 13 November Turkey, opportunities for joint cooperation in the contracting sector, with representatives of the Turkish Contractors Union (TMB) in Istanbul,

The two sides met within the framework of the activities of the "Turkish-Qatar Contracting Forum" and discussed opportunities to expand cooperation in the Qatari market of worth $ 18.3 billion.

Yousef Al-Emadi, vice president of the authority, said in a speech during the meeting that "the Authority is implementing many infrastructure projects in the country, including the construction of new roads and modernization of old ones."

Al Emadi added that Turkish construction equipment has become a favorite in Qatar and is in great demand.

He explained that the country will see an investment of 36 billion dollars on infrastructure projects during the period between 2020 and 2024.

On the other hand, Mithat Yenigun, President of the European Union, said that the bilateral relations between Turkey and Qatar are at a good level, both economically and politically.
