Istanbul has welcomed 5,5 million tourists throughout the first five months of 2019

Istanbul has broken a record in the number of tourists that have visited it in the first five months of this year where it has welcomed more than five million tourists.

This came in a statement which was published by the municipality of Istanbul on its official website that the city has broken a record of tourists numbers this year compared to the same period in the last five years.

The statement has also stated that the rates of the tourists who have come to #Istanbul have increased by 11% if compared to the same time of the last year,

It has cleared as well the fact that the city is heading to achieve its aim which is attracting 15 million tourists during this year.

The German came first as they made the biggest number of tourists in #Istanbul in this period.

What worth mentioning as well in the same matter that the city of Istanbul is at the third place between the cities which welcomes the most of the tourists in Europe, where from every 100 tourist comes to Turkey 42 of them visits Istanbul.
